Yesterday, by Samyann, is a romantic historical fiction story that follows the story of a young woman who falls in love with a man. She instantly feels a deep, personal connection to this stranger. The book follows their journey in figuring out their historic connection and discovering just how deeply their love for each other goes. Amanda is beginning to bring herself out of a dark place in her life but finds herself stuck in the middle of a catastrophe which ultimately leads her to save a man, Mark, who quickly becomes the love of her life. Amanda and Mark immediately form a personal connection. They develop a strong sense of knowing each other before the catastrophe, even though they have actually never met beforehand. The two embark on a journey together to discover the mysteries that exist in their past lives. The book delves into several different themes. Some of these themes include death and reincarnation, unconditional and enduring love, grief, and trust.

I really enjoyed reading this book! I always thought that the concept of reincarnation was fascinating, and the book explored it in ways that I had never read before in other books. Overall, I thought the story was very well-developed and I really enjoyed how it changed perspectives between the past and the present. The transitions between chapters always felt very smooth and organized. I also really liked that the author included true historical events in the book, this helped to make the story more relatable and feel more real to the reader.

There was honestly nothing that I did not like about the book. I thought it was exceptionally well-written. Additionally, I did not see any grammatical errors, a testament to the book being exceptionally well-edited.

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for the reasons I stated above. I really enjoyed the story, and the characters were written in a way that was extremely relatable to the reader.

I would recommend this book to any reader who loves romances, historical fiction, and stories about reincarnation. It should also be noted that there is some profanity and mild sexual content, which may be disturbing to some readers.
