E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is a fictional action romance. While honeymooning in Honduras, Kelly and Tom Turbulo stumble upon a group of terrorists. Realizing this will not be the relaxing and romantic vacation they both wanted, the pair must figure out what the terrorist group is plotting and figure out how to put a stop to them. The book is based on fiction, but the author finds ways to sprinkle in some real-life scenarios, like talking about the president and his wife. This helps to make the book more relatable to the reader.

I liked how the book was told from a few different perspectives of the characters, and it was very easy to follow because the author made it very obvious which character was narrating each part of the book. I also liked how the author wrote some of the chapters from the perspective of one of the terrorists, it was interesting to see her perspective and opinions about tourist locations and the other characters from that point of view.

The only thing I did not like was how some of the scenes felt rushed. I felt that some scenes were briefly resolved and then I was rushed into the next part of the story without much explanation between the two chapters. I would have liked to see more connections between the chapters at times, and see more details be revealed to make the story have more substance.

I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars for the reasons stated above. There were no grammatical errors or typos, a testament to the exceptional editing of the book. There were also some innuendos, but nothing was described in graphic detail.

I would recommend this book to lovers of a light-hearted and quick action story that also has some romance in it. This book would be suitable for teenagers and adults alike.
