Review of Surviving the Business of Healthcare
[Following is a volunteer review of "Surviving the Business of Healthcare" by Barbara Galutia Regis PA-C.]
''Surviving the Business of Healthcare'' by Barbara Galutia Regis PA-C is an informative and important resource for anyone navigating the challenging world of healthcare. Regis delivers a thorough overview of the difficulties faced by healthcare workers and offers workable strategies to overcome them according to her vast experience as a physician assistant.
The book is jam-packed with inspiring stories of medical victories and practical suggestions on how to get the best care. The author gave specifics on her journeys and formative encounters. She talked about her relationship with her father, a physician who helped others with their medical problems. Her father had a big impact on the direction of her career. She found great encouragement in him, and he demonstrated to others how to access medical treatment while still being of help to others.
The book teaches readers how to utilize healthcare services to their advantage. It provides answers to questions on a range of topics, such as how to get quality healthcare at affordable costs, how to choose a primary care physician, what sorts of insurance plans are offered, and how to pick the finest ones. The author continues by describing the many categories of medical professionals that are accessible.
I liked how the author set the stage by explaining the healthcare industry's situation in the 1970s, when her father was a doctor. I now have a greater knowledge of how the healthcare industry has changed. I found the author's explanation of how the "business" of healthcare financially penalizes the poor and middle classes while benefiting the upper class to be especially insightful. I now have a better grasp of the healthcare industry and know how to avoid being treated unfairly when it comes to my healthcare, thanks to this book.
Despite the fact that the book was primarily educational and enjoyable, I didn't like the fact that it wasn't long enough. An already fascinated reader who is at the climax, pleading for more pages, is not served by the book's few pages. In my opinion, the book could have been longer, and it wouldn't have impeded the storyline in any way.
The author did a superb job with her writing style, and the book was excellently edited as well. I could not find any typos or grammatical errors in it, so I give it a 5 out of 5 star rating. I highly recommend it to health practitioners who seek to know more about how to excel in their careers and also to the general public since healthcare is a prime concern for every individual.
