Binge By Anne Pfeffer follows the story of Sabrina Hunter, an overweight woman who sets out on a journey to lose weight after an amazing opportunity comes into her life. She reluctantly ends up joining an overeaters anonymous group, and to her surprise, it changes her life in more ways than she expects. Along her journey she meets some great people and forms some new and exciting relationships while trying to make amends with her past and the people currently in her life. All the while trying to maintain her boss’s company and juggle the responsibilities and demands of her own life. She learns some great lessons along the way and discovers what is really important in life.

Personally, I loved this book. It has a unique storyline that I have never read before and it was something different and interesting. The characters were some of the best I have seen in a long time. They were so fun and relatable, very human and not over the top. The settings were fun and the descriptions even better. The sounds, sights and smells really put you in the moment and made you feel like you were there with the characters. The author does a really great job of transporting you into the book and making you really see things from the characters perspectives.

I have nothing negative to say about this book. The story flowed well and the storyline and characters kept your attention and focus throughout the whole book. I can see how the material may be triggering for someone in a similar situation, but I think the author delivers this story in a fun and lighthearted way that won’t upset or offend anyone.

I would give this book 5 out 5 stars. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a book I enjoyed this much and that kept my attention. This author keeps her storyline clear and easy to follow and her book was hard to put down at times. She just really has a great writing style that I enjoyed.
I recommend this book to women of all ages, and would especially recommend it to anyone struggling with body image issues or just struggling to like who they are. And if you love romance, this is also a great book for you too. It’s got a little bit of everything, comedy, drama and romance. Something to keep everyone happy.
