My Trip to Adele by R.I and A.I Alyaseer is a well worded story about 3 characters from different countries and cultural backgrounds. The story revolves around Elias, a guy from Rome who visits Marrakesh to find his long-lost love; Nadia, a divorced single mother who lives for her son and wants to give him the best of life; and lastly, Yaser, married to Mariam, who struggles to be in this relationship and looks for the freedom outside this marriage. This book brings out the best scenarios to describe life and their struggle to achieve what all these characters want from life. The Adele concert is the bridge that is common in these three people’s lives and provides a ray of hope that their life is gonna be okay and they will surely find what they have been looking for.

The best part about this novel is how these different stories are linked to Adele's concert and the way the writer has added Adele’s songs at the end of each chapter. I liked the story of Elias the most and found it fascinating, as how he found his love after 8 years. I actually was visualising the characters and the storyline had me connected all the time.

I did not like a few things which included repetition of words and exaggeration of circumstances, and somewhat adding additional details which were not needed and taking the reader off sometimes. Additionally, I felt that R.I and A.I Alyaseer could have given a happy ending to at least one of their characters. It felt like their stories were left in between and a sequel is awaited.

Overall, it was a well written novel with minor errors which can be ignored and I rate this book four out of five stars because at places, the narratives could have been more crisp.

If you love to read romantic yet mysterious stories and would like to explore other dimensions of being in love, then this is the book for you. It is a good read.
