Barbara Galutia Regis PA-C who is the author of this amazing book Surviving the “Business” of Healthcare - Knowledge is Power! Has a deep knowledge in the field of medicare specifically Medical Insurence plans. Barbara comes from a family generation of practice Providers which has improved her skills a lot and knowledge in understanding both the patients and the caregivers.

The Author is a cancer survivor and being on both sides of healthcare, she believes that the masses should be educated on how the world works around healthcare. She mentions the Opioid Epidemic, the Obama Care, and all in a way that you would easily understand as she does not beat around the bush but points out what you need to understand. This shows you how a great caregiver she is as she wants the world to be a better place not just for those who are sick but also for those offering the services of caregivers. It is clearly a book for us and our loved ones.

There is a lot to like about this book Surviving the “Business” of Healthcare - Knowledge is Power! First from the title which does not leave anything to chance. What got me deeply hooked is the fact that Barbara speaks from decades of experience, her childhood memories watching her father as a medic attending to patients at their home. This was a lot of motivation for her to help other people open up their eyes to choosing the right primary care providers, shopping around for medication, and being informed about medical insurance.

I did not find much not to like about the book as the author is a very talented medicare Physician making her one of the best people to have put together such a book. However, I would say that if you are one person who is not fascinated by deep knowledge of healthcare and insurance, you might not find this book that interesting. Still, the humane nature of the book might just get you hooked as the whole message is for us to be knowledgable.

I rate this book, Surviving the “Business” of Healthcare - Knowledge is Power! 3 out of 4 stars. This book is well written and edited leaving no errors to chance and grammatical mistakes. I would recommend this book to both young and elderly people as it gives one direction about the Healthcare system on what to do and choices not to make.
