Stress and anxiety are two major problems a lot of people face today. Most importantly, in the day-to-day activities of people, stress can hardly not find its way therein. One of the things that weakens the immune system of people is stress and once the immune system is weakened, it makes the body prone to other sicknesses.Natural Relief For Anxiety and Stress by Gustavo Kinrys, M.D. and Alexandra Gold, M.A. is a lifetime guide that can help people fight stress and anxiety. The book was justly written to help people relieve stress even if they wish not to use medications.

There is no doubt that stress and anxiety have come to stay with humans; the authors have provided medicated and natural ways to withstand them. The book explains the different types of stress we could have and the natural remedies to manage them. Some of the natural remedies include supplements, green tea, etc. According to the book, regular exercise, good dieting, and slow breathing techniques can help manage stress levels. Also, noise therapy, acupuncture and virtual reality therapy would have a positive impact on the effects of stress and anxiety symptoms.

I love the fact that the writers were able to justify the ways one can manage stress and anxiety on their own by giving a vivid explanation under different sub-headings on the strategies of managing stress such as taking the correct supplements, drinking teas, dieting, and exercising regularly. I also learned a lot especially, finding out that noise could be therapeutic. I always thought noise is of no value not until reading this book.

I also love the fact that the writers took out time to explain all the terminologies that might seem very hard to the readers. This shows that the interest of the readers was considered when writing this book. These terminologies, without proper explanation, could have distracted the reader's attention but with the very apt explanations, it stimulates the attention of the reader for proper understanding. In the appendix, the authors present tables that summarized many of the remedies they discussed in the book. This summarization will help stimulate learning. Not everyone will remember the entire book but with the help of the summary, the readers will not forget the major information in the book. Also, the references provided at the end of the book are very informative for future reading. The book was so good that I also found no error or anything that could distract the reader’s attention. It was professionally edited.

Although, there is a sexual language used in the book; it wasn’t explicit, therefore, making my reading experience great and free from obstruction of any kind. I would rate this book four out of four stars. I rated it four out of four stars because it was professionally edited with no iota of error.

I recommend this book to the youths as they seem to be the age grades that love to work very hard without rest because stress keeps accumulating in their body system and this book will be a blessing to them. Older ones who also experience stress and anxiety are also recommended to read this book as it will help them a lot.
