I give this book a 3 out of 4 stars

When reviewing the book, Natural Relief for Anxiety and Stress by Gustavo Kenrys, I initially saw a formatting issue. It appears some words are double spaced from each other instead of spaced normally. It also seemed that the author presented multiple commas that were not necessary. Some examples are from the beginning of the book. In the second paragraph there is a sentence that begins with but and says “but that is not always the case, and…”. This should actually be phrased differently and exclude the comma after case. In example, “This is not always the case and ignoring…”

In the next paragraph it says “among them” and starts listing ideas, but the words “among them” are confusing because it doesn’t state what they are pertaining to. This would be better worded to say, “The following natural and alternative options are available.” I would suggest the author have and English teacher or two review his work for grammar.

The overall content of the material is easy to read, organized well, and can be read rather quickly. I appreciate how the author broke down the sections and the chapters of the book, making it easy to understand one point from another. I especially liked his list of natural remedies and liked having a name of different supplements you can use.

There are some supplements listed that I had never heard of and some that I was familiar with, but had no idea would work for anxiety and stress. It’s nice to know that some of them will work for anxiety and stress amongst other things. I also found the information on symptoms of anxiety and stress helpful. Some of these I was also unaware of. The behavioral modifications are a great idea and I am going to try them sometime. I think throwing in the definition of fear and describing that in relation to anxiety was also important.

Overall, I would say there is a lot of good information in this book and it should be helpful for those individuals that take the time to utilize the resources inside it. I myself, am a sufferer of anxiety and stress daily. I work full time, take care of four dogs, and am involved in many extra curricular activities. I hold a state board position that demands a lot of my time. I have found this book may be a good resource for my own personal situation and am ready to start implementing or using things I have read.
