It's None of Your Business by Jordan K. Michaels is an inspiring guide to life as a Christian amidst all the challenges that one comes across. Michaels uses her past experiences and scripture to come up with several key guides that would help a Christian in their path toward living the life intended by God.

The use of personal anecdotes really goes a long way in driving the points brought up in the book home. The author introduces her past first, referencing the challenges she underwent in her life before. These experiences are very human and they bring in the reader by forming a human connection to the story. As Michael proceeds to inform us of how her life took a turn, we, as the readers, have an incentive to further invest in the book considering such situations are not unique to an individual. By the time she starts explaining the lessons acquired from her journey to where she was at the time of writing the book, the readers are already mentally prepared to look into these points. I also particularly enjoyed the structure of the book and the extensive use of metaphors. This really helped in the delivery of the intended message. The inclusion of the glossary, despite being a minor addition, was a huge factor for me as I read the book and I feel that would really impact the reading process of someone who is still not very fluent in the language.

One thing I did not enjoy as much was that some of the points raised were a bit generalized, which I feel acted as a distraction of sorts from the main point of the book. Some of these generalizations had a political aspect which would definitely limit the target audience significantly, instead of appealing to a broader one as is expected for a book of this nature.

I would give It's None of Your Business a rating of 3 out of 4. The structure and tone of the book, in addition to the stylistic devices in play really drove the book home for me. I enjoyed the references while taking note of the verses mentioned. Also, the editing was exceptionally done. Nevertheless, some of the examples given in the book appeared to be politically motivated, which contributed negatively to my reading.

This book is targeted at followers of Christianity who have encountered challenges in their path towards living the life that God desires for them, and as such has a very strong Christian theme. I would recommend this book to devout Christians, already active in their faith, and looking for a guide in their journey.
