Review of The Evolutionite Chronicles Book 2: Dagger and Shadow Ninja in: Welcome to Las Vegas
The Evolutionite Chronicles Book Two: Dagger and Shadow Ninja in: Welcome to Las Vegas by Timothy P. Callahan is a weird, unique and exciting fictional novel. It is about two Ninja brothers who head to fabulous Las Vegas to help an ex-girlfriend of the eldest brother with a problem she refuses to state. When these two brothers get to Las Vegas they stay more than they planned as different unprecedented situations unfold. Even the problem they had came to solve turned out to not be the actual problem. This novel follows these two brothers as they navigate through these different obstacles.
This novel has to be the weirdest novel I've read thus far. To everyone else it might not be as weird but to me a novel about ninjas with superpowers that live in the real world is not something I'm used to. Other than that, the story made perfect sense. The characters were interesting and incredibly funny. A thing I disliked was the weakness the older brother had towards his ex. How could you help someone who refuses to tell you what their problem is? That made the older brother appear as a wimp. I found myself yelling at this older brother multiple times because of the way he behaves towards this girl.
This book was exceptionally well edited. I didn't see any errors. It was also a spectacular story. I seriously found nothing to dislike about it. The humor was perfect and the story kept me guessing. I definitely wouldn't have appreciated the story as much if I could tell what the scene was going to be like all the time. The concept was very imaginative and the location the author chose was perfect for the story. If it were set anywhere else, it definitely would've been different. There were also a lot of robots involved, which was something I wasn't really used to reading about. This was effective in challenging my reading skills. I definitely appreciated that.
I rate The Evolutionite Chronicles four out of four stars. It was definitely an amazing one to read. It was different and very entertaining. Flawless language and storytelling. I really enjoyed the book and am planning to read it for the second time. I might even go find more similar books because of my wonderful experience with this one.
I recommend this book to any one who loves action novels. Also, fans of the Power Rangers have to read this book. There is also a little pinch of romance that the romantics would enjoy. But I would definitely recommend it to people who are into heroes and villians as this book offers plenty of that.
