Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R. F. Kristi is the eighth book in the Inca Cat Detective series, which tells the captivating tale of a team of animals who had to cross into North Korea from South Korea on a risky assignment.

The group had gathered on a Sunday morning in the library to view an incredible artwork of a Siberian tiger. Inca is in awe of his feline relative in the artwork. He concludes that South Korea must be where the painting was produced. Inca learns later that his mother has been chosen to serve as one of the judges for the French patisserie competition that will take place in South Korea. On this occasion, she intends to debut her distinctive cheese. She decides to go on this journey with all of her animals. On the flight to South Korea, Mom meets Enzo, another French chef who has been invited to be a judge. The group came across Ye-Jun, their tour guide, who they learned was living apart from his sister in North Korea with a cat. The animals then come up with a plan to get them back together.

I loved all the characters' personalities. Inca is a comical figure who has such a funny way of explaining things. I admired Fromage's boldness as well. He didn't give a damn about what others thought about him.

I also appreciated the book's instructional value as another component. The book examines the division between North and South Korea with a lighthearted approach so that children can understand it easily, and it also hopes to promote peace between the two nations.

Even though it was a children's book, I had a great time reading it. The language is kid-friendly and straightforward. The plot is intriguing and easy to follow. The book presents mature subjects to kids in a direct, amusing, and understandable manner. The book's use of images keeps the kids interested. This book has nothing to be disliked and was also free of errors. Because of its superb editing, I am awarding it 4 out of 4 stars .

I think kids between the ages of 8 and 12 should be able to enjoy it. I would also recommend it to teachers, guardians, and babysitters. The writing style and subjects discussed in the book are tailored exclusively for youngsters. This book can be read alone, despite being a part of a series.
