Rynah was furious. The man who had just proposed to her a few hours ago was now a villain. He stole the crystal that was supposed to keep her planet's magnetic field stable. This caused earthquakes that ultimately destroyed the planet. Rynah, fortunately, escaped the planet on a ship her late grandfather had built. The ship was an intelligent one named Solaris and informed her of an ancient prophecy that included six crystals. Rynah has always thought these to be merely fairytales, but as the chaos ensued around her, she started to believe. Solaris told Rynah that to save her planet, she would need help from four human beings. Using telepathy, Solaris chose the four humans from four different eras. Will they be able to get back the crystal? Will Rynah be able to save her planet? Or does she have ulterior motives? Solaris Seethes (Solaris Saga book 1) by Janet McNulty is an exciting sci-fi novel able to create intrigue in its readers.

Janet McNulty created an amazing world in this book. As the crew navigated through space and different planets, one can't help but be intrigued. The descriptions were amazing, and the book was highly imaginative. I must also commend the author on her character development. It was superb. Since the four humans came from different eras, their speech and attitude depicted this clearly. I liked Alfric's character the most. He was a Viking warrior and despite being in a different dimension that he never knew existed; he remained brave and was ready to face any danger.

I could not find a single thing to dislike about this book. Because of how immersive it was, I finished reading it in one sitting. I simply could not put it down. The fighting scenes in this book were also well written and kept me on edge.

I have to give Solaris Seethes (Solaris Saga book 1) a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. It was professionally edited, as I only found one minor error. I could not give it a lower rating because the author did an excellent job of creating very detailed and descriptive scenes. This was the first book in the series and I must say my interest is piqued to find out what the other books entail. The ending of this book left me in tears, and I am hoping that the next book in the series will reveal that the reader was tricked.

I would highly recommend this book to people who love reading adventure and sci-fi novels. If you like reading about space, different planets, and life forms, you will find this book interesting.
