Review of Rise of the Savior
Rise of the Savior by Antoine Bonner is a book that centers on Amanda, who has more potential than she believes. Due to an accident she encountered, she was able to discover her true potential. Jamie, who is a doctor, is desperate for the survival of his sick son. To save his son’s life, he decides to do it by any means, either good or bad.
After realizing that the life of her loved ones might be in danger, Amanda decides to become stronger. To become a lot stronger, she realizes that she has to care about humanity and not only her family. Will she be able to achieve the power that she needs and save the world from impending doom? Also, can Jamie still be saved, or is he past saving?
What I liked about the book was how easy it was to read. Even though the novel dealt with superpowers, it was easy to picture. I appreciate the writer’s use of humor in this book because it helped elevate the personalities of some of the characters in the novel. I fell in love with so many characters because of their intriguing personalities.
The negative aspect of this book is how some scenes in the novel ended abruptly. Although the storyline is quite exquisite, it is such a shame that the book contained many errors. It was not professionally edited. In addition, I felt like some characters were too immature for how I perceived them to be. There were times when I wanted more while reading this novel.
I rate this book a 2 out of 4 stars because it still needs some work. It is a great story, but I was not really into the book because of the errors found and the abruptness of some of the scenes. I would have liked the book a lot better if the author had taken the time to explain some of the scenes well. Also, some characters seemed so immature for their age. As a result, it made some parts of the book so unrealistic. I appreciate the author’s effort to write something exciting and the use of humor in this story.
I would recommend this book to people that are interested in sci-fi or fantasy novels. The intriguing concepts of the story will keep you going. The book contains some words of profanity, which may be sensitive to some readers. Rise of the Savior by Antoine Bonner is a fascinating book.
