Doomsday is the first book in the Doomsday series written by R.L Gemmill. The story opens up with bishop family met with an accident and their children Kelly, Jon and Travis Bishop had a bumpy start in life. After the loss of their parents they were separated and lived at foster care. Seven years apart they finally move in together with a foster family.
They plan a group outing with some friends to Pandora’s cave. While exploring the cave an earthquake traps them underground. In their struggle to find a way out they realize they are not alone, they encounter a group of real-life demons. They witness an evil pact is being made between the salesman human and the group of demons to take over the world. Luckily, they had recorded the entire event. Now they must escape from the cave with the video tape and hand it over to the people who can help them to stop the demons.
I really enjoyed this book. The book is flawless. The characters are really explained very well which makes us to see what’s really happening and feel the emotions of what they are going through. The bonds between the siblings and the family who fights together against demons are illustrated exquisitely.
The book does not contain any profane languages and erotic scenes. There is some violence and bullying, but the characters handle it very well.
I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The profound amount of action, drama and love is pictured delightfully. I recommend to all who really love supernatural and conspiracy should definitely read this book.
