There comes a time in every one’s life, when we are faced with questions like,
Why this is happening to me?
Even though it seems I have everything, why can’t I enjoy my life?
Why I fear a certain thing?
And many more such questions.
These questions continuously ponder us and ultimately make us anxious.
We go to such an extent that, we ultimately end up hurting ourselves and the people around us, when in fact, the answers are present within ourselves only.

We get so much engrossed in thinking about future and pondering about past that, we end up messing with our present, we forget to live and enjoy our current time, the present.
In doing so, we start making stories around stuff, around incidents, around emotions and we usually end up making negative stories, which seem to be feasible to us.
Those stories are completely made up as per our thought process, but we so heavily think about them, that, they start to feel like reality to us and we start living in an imaginary land, full of sorrows and pain and again we forget about the present.
Instead of living like we are, we start giving more weightage to how people around us, the society as a whole, want us to live and in that process, we curb our real emotions, we start labelling them as fit or mis-fit for the society and banish those, who we label as mis-fit.
We start using our brain, our mind in everything and every situation, when in fact, there should be a balance between heart and the mind, we disturb that balance and start making a doom for ourselves.

Judi Miller’s Perfect, answers all these questions, addresses all these issues in the form of a tale, a real story based on Judi Miller’s own life, when she got face to face with similar type of questions and similar type of situations.
It is not that kind of a self-help book which just talks about the situations and suggests or recommends what we should do.
It is that kind, in which the author narrates her own experiences and leaves to the reader, to grab whatever help they need as per their own situation.
The book is divided into three parts, each part going through the life events of the author and at the end of each part, a sort of summary or a sort of learning is provided, from which the reader can pick any learning, if they missed to grab in the narration.
Perfect, not just goes through the events, but also provides the reason because of which those events are happening or have happened, thus, not leaving anything in the air.

The one thing which will determine the audience, the readers for this book, is its strong connect with spirituality.
The whole story and the events revolve around things like, angels, spirits, heavenly presence, past life and all.
So, this book is strongly recommended to those, who believe in spiritual things or at least can sit around spiritual things, as the story revolves around spiritual happenings, but the learnings can be found and picked up by anyone, irrespective of, if they believe in spirituality or not.

The major plus point of the book is, how it drives every point towards completion, nothing is left hanging in the air.
The emotional moments, present in the last part of the book, are perfectly depicted, so much so that, you yourself will feel the emotions.
The one and only thing, which goes against the narrative is, the repetitiveness which you feel in the middle part, you feel the pace of the narrative getting slow, the spiritual stuff seems to overwhelm a bit, but it again comes on track in the last part.
Considering all these things, I might have gone half a point here or there, but I will go with 3 out of 4 stars, for Perfect.
