Do I need a will or a trust?

After reading this book, one thing you will take away is that, yes, you absolutely need a will. Everyone needs a will. However, when it comes to trusts, it can be expensive and complicated. It is however best to have a trust if you can afford it and if you want better management of your assets. Taylor Phillip Willigngham In this book is addressing the question a majority of his clients always ask him. Should they get a will or a trust? He explains the meaning of both a will and a trust and tells you the difference between the two. In this book, he delves deep into what a trust involves, how does it work, how to set up a trust, and the benefits of having a trust.

Taylor uses short stories to show how people without trusts encountered setbacks while those with trusts were sheltered. Most importantly, he helps break down the legalese. In every chapter, he has explained how lawyers would use different terms and what they mean. He also advises against drawing up your own will, but in the event, you have to, he guides you on how to do that.

What I loved most about this book is the incorporation of humor. Taylor has integrated memes and jokes in his book which makes it an enjoyable read. The words have also been simplified for easy understanding. He has also included illustrated diagrams, tables, and memes to help illustrate some complicated areas. He has also used stories from his career that are simplified and relatable. Furthermore, he provides tips for those who are not in a position to get legal counsel on how they can minimize losses surrounding the management of their property.

The only thing I disliked about the book is that it has a target audience which is American. The majority of the laws and wording in the book would be largely relatable to an American citizen better than any other person.

With that being said, I would rate this book a perfect 4 out of four stars. I do not find any reason to rate it lower than that. There were no grammatical errors and the book is well-edited.

This book would be best suited for anyone looking to set up a trust fund. You will find all the basic information you would need to set up a trust, some pitfalls to avoid as well as what to make sure you include in your trust. It is also a good read for anyone who is torn between setting up a trust fund or not. This book will lay out how much better it is to set up a trust.

You are so right regarding the applicability of the book. I would love it just for the humor part, otherwise I don't think that it might be useful for me. Thank you for this great review!
