The Wanting Hearts by Nicole Jordan is a book that has many interesting short stories. The stories found in the book are stories of Vampires and Werewolves, though there is a romantic twist in each one of them. The book has a collection of five short stories; The Dream, The Unknown, You Stupid Vampire, Reunion and Young Sire.

Amongst the collection of stories in this novel, Reunion fascinated me the most. I consider Cass to be the stand out character in this book. Cass decides to attend her school reunion after so much pressure from her friend, Julie and her parents. She is forced to travel back home, so she could attend her classmate's reunion. She encounters her worst nightmare, Samantha, who had always bullied her in school. Hunter saves her from Samantha and her friends, but she walks out on him. Cass was both happy and surprised when she meets a stray dog she had always sat with when she sneaked out of the house as a little girl. What could that dog signify? Cass also learns that her family had not been entirely sincere with her. What could it be they don't want her to know about? Grab a copy of this book to find out.

The book is very interesting. I don't enjoy reading books on vampires and werewolves, but this book is an exception. I enjoyed reading every story in this collection. The author kept me in great suspense. Young Sire is another story that caught my attention. The author didn't only write about child abuse, but he also highlighted the effects of drug use. The scenes in the book were well-developed. The presence of a strong female character in most of the stories made the book intriguing. The author's use of strong male and female protagonist in his stories is reasonable.

The only thing I disliked about the book was how the stories all ended. I think the author would have made some end very happy. The Dream was the only novel that had a realistic plot, it stood out from the rest. He didn't write about mythical creatures in this particular story. He took his time to narrate Sandy's ordeal. The author painted a clear picture in the mind of his readers. The stories in this book would be nice for a movie adaptation.

I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. I found no errors. This shows that it was exceptionally well-edited. I would love to read other books from Nicole Jordan. His style of writings simple and unique. I recommend this book to lovers of short stories associated with science-fiction

I've read this book and similarly found it interesting. I think the author had already noted that in real life not everything has a happy ending. I liked The Young sire the most. Thanks for the detailed review.
