The Mindset: My Journey from Janitor to Silicon Valley Millionaire in Five Years tells the personal story of Ace Bowers. In this autobiography Ace Bowers discusses in sincere openness, his struggles in life, how he grew up and how he changed his circumstances by working hard and never giving up. He changed is his live and became a multi-millionaire. He talks about his relationship with family and friends – both the good and the bad relationships, and how this had an impact on his life.

I love how open he is about his experience. He does not solely focus on the positive aspects of his life that would ultimately give the readers a false perspective. Instead, he shows the reader that life’s struggles are very real and he is very honest and open about this. The story is well written and while reading it I felt as if he is telling the story in person.
There are hardly any negative aspects in the book. The only aspect that bothered me was that some of the aspects of his life were repeated a lot. This however did not really have an impact on the enjoyment of the book. I personally would have liked some tips regarding how to change your circumstances, but that would have changed the purpose of the book. It is an autobiography and not a how to guide.

Based on the very little negative aspects of the book I rate it a 3 out of 4 stars. The book comes across as being professionally edited. The language in the book is well suited for this type of genre. I deducted only one star for the repetitive content, but I will go as far as to say this equal to half a star; thus, a more accurate evaluation would be to say this book is a 3 and a half out of 4 stars.

I would recommend this book to a variety of people. Anyone that likes reading autobiographies would like this book. I would say it will be better suited for the age 18 years and up, but younger people may find value in the story as well. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone that feels their circumstances are oppressing them. This book is a great example that there is hope and that if you work hard and persevere you can escape your circumstances. In this instance any age that needs motivation will find Ace Bower’s story a helpful tool in their life.
