Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is about a very sassy, quirky and lovable cat named Inca. She has moved to a new home and is in owe of her new-found friends. As they are already famous detectives. Inspired and determined by them, she decides to become a famous cat detective herself. In pursuit to prove herself a great detective, she even starts writing a journal to document her family, friends, and the events that start to unfold on her quest to become a famous cat detective. She courageously jumps in with all four paws.

I normally do not choose detective stories, but I chose this book because I love cats and the description of the book seemed like it might be right up my ally. I was not disappointed at all. On the contrary, I was pleasantly surprised by the humor and lovable characters. I could really get a feel for the special and unique personalities of each character.

I also have not sat down to read a children’s story in quite some time, but I am certainly glad that I found this little gem to read. Although this is a children’s book I found it worthy of audiences of all ages. It makes for a wonderful story to sit back and read out loud to the whole family. Or if you’re an adult looking for a few hours to sit back and relax. I found myself laughing and smiling throughout the story.

I like that the story line and writing was kept very light-hearted and is easy reading for children of all ages. However, at the same time packs a very well written adventure with a lot of detail and imagery. Very well-developed plot, story line, and characters.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars Because it is very well written and humorous. The language is very appropriate for a children’s book. I also like that the story length is not too long, which makes it easier for a child to finish. It is a very well-rounded story for children of all ages and for the whole family to enjoy. I also like the fact that the author wraps up the end of the story very nicely and doesn’t leave the reader with any cliff hangers at the end. In all it was a very satisfying read. I look forward to sharing Inca’s adventures with my friends and family.

My kids and I enjoyed this book too. It’s a fun and suspenseful fable. I appreciate the themes and lessons of determination and the importance of friendship. Great review. :D

I gravitate towards children's books, since reading is a form of escapism for me. It's good to know this book was enjoyable as an adult, too - I feel that all good children's literature should be.

I just read this one. I had never read the other ones in the series. I did enjoy it, it's humorous and unique, but there are a lot of characters to keep track of! That part was difficult. Definitely a book an adult and child can read together over several nights.
