I have read the second book in the Voulhire series the beginning of this book was well written with adventure and mystery well as explanations of what the characters are doing and where they are going as well as any that are going to this destination. Towards the end a demon shows up and when the characters try to destroy him they release his army, which in turn process to destroy the city and its people. This part for me really didn't seem to fit. There was one part when the characters were trying to make sure that a powerful wizard so to speak was still being held in a secure location which did fit into the story. The ending was very underwhelming I was looking for more pages and was saying to myself this can't be it, I even downloaded the book just to make sure. I would date this book at a 2 out of 4 because of how it jumped around and some parts did not fit in. So far the fort book was very good this one was ok now I am on to the third one and hope that it goes the two together so the second one makes more sense.
