Wow thats quite a trade-off- going to work for a bit of peace, i know its a right pain with so many people without water right now. Im lucky but my brother is in the country and hasnt had water for 2 weeks now. Let the great thaw and return of water come right now, i say.

Still, I cannot understand how come you have efficient plumbers there since they're not doing such a good job back home

Really? Well they have a great rep in this city anyway, as efficient and trustworthy plumbers and painters, add to that their numbers on manual building sites and other factory jobs. Certainly i would give them a go with my painting etc, i have only heard good things.

Your countrymen are highly thought of here anyway ... best looking plumbers this side of the Carpathians (I was instructed to say that).

Ha. Swing, Dan is a hurler (hurling is an Irish sport) who has won many accolades, recently retired. Look at my avatar for his photo, but be quick coz im changing it later in the fine forum tradition.
