A World Diverse III by David Edmond CD is a compilation of beautiful poetry that dives into many far-reaching topics. It is divided into three separate sections. Section one covers life overall and the relationships we build with others. Section two delves into the topic of the death of ourselves and also those around us. Lastly, section three focuses on the loss of humanity occurring in our society today due to the development of technology and, therein, the loss of face-to-face connections. Though each section is different, they all bring a candid take to major life topics. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book due to the interesting way that the author chose to tackle these multifaceted topics.

My favorite part of this book is that everything seems open, honest, and genuine. It is very cool to read about such severe topics through someone else’s eyes. Everyone will deal with these topics at some point in life, and it is always amazing to share these universal experiences with others. Also, it felt nice to read a book that challenges you to look at life in a more profound way and to think intellectually about the things in your life, love, and community.

The part of this book that I did not like was that there wasn’t more of it. I reached the end and was disappointed that it was over. I felt as if I was connecting to deeper thoughts that usually are not on the surface and I had to resurface back into the reality of every day once it was over. Also, there were a few errors that I noted that caused me to be distracted from the otherwise powerful poems describing even more powerful experiences.

My rating for this book is 2 out of 4 stars. This is because it is a very good book and I felt that the topics were covered in an eloquent and original way. In addition, the stanzas were excellent in terms of structure and readability. However, there were a few errors, and also, some of the entries felt a bit repetitive to those previous.

I would recommend this book to anyone. I think anyone would benefit from reading this book as its topics are those that all people have dealt with or will deal with in the future. It is intriguing to be able to read about these topics in such beautiful language as some of them are not typically enjoyable or pretty experiences.
