Uncommon Poems Common People is a compilation of short poems written in simple to understand English that tackles all the bitterness and sweetness life throws at the common person. Written by T.D.Kruser throughout his life starting while he was still a young adult, Uncommon Poems Common People has a unique style and theme. The poems he wrote as a young adult creates an amateurish cliche mood and spikes little to no emotions, while those he wrote as a mature adult seem deep, professional, mature, and mean seriousness. This mixture of young and mature content clearly shows the author's development and growth from a young adult to a mature one by how he starts to see things differently, think differently and experience the same situations and circumstances differently. The main chapters of this book are: "The edge", "for the Heart", "From the Heart", "life Echoes", "More Reflections on The Edge", and "The Rest".

This book is very short, and the author takes it even further by skipping the foreword and going directly to the poems. He argues in the afterword, that he would like the readers to come to their own conclusions and emotions and their own feelings and moods towards the book by themselves. The main concern of the author is that we are constantly distracted by the act of living and fail to see the changes we go through from within, as a result of our experiences with the world.

What I personally like about this book is that it's very short and uses simple English. I could read it once and understand it clearly without ever referring to the dictionary. I also loved how the author included the poems he wrote as a young adult. It gave me a slight peek into his young life and how he viewed the world

I found this book quite boring, nothing the author talked about was new, it felt more like a reminder of what I already knew. I did not catch myself pausing and thinking through a line. It was not reflective. The use of simple grammar killed the beauty of the poems and just made them uninteresting, they did not challenge me as the reader, and I was bored because of it.

I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. It was well written and I could tell the author put a lot of effort into it, but it was quite boring
