In A Faith Unwound Too Soon , Anna-Karen Sorensen shares her experience and feelings as a caretaker of premature babies in verse. Anna-Karen took her readers on an emotional journey through the feelings of not only herself as the caretaker but also of the parent and the premature child. Using real-time photos to give a perfect imagery effect to the mind. Although the premature babies are not heard, Anna-Karen Sorensen gives them a voice in this book by depicting their fears, hopes, and feelings.Science became art because it ponders on that which is not known with certainty (death), that which goes beyond the grasp of reason but is led by intuition, destiny, faith, and hope.

Anna-Karen Sorensen writes in such a way that keeps the reader captivated. I like the fact that each poem is from a different perspective (premature babies, parents, and caretakers), different from each other but yet still connected in telling the story and emotions Anna-Karen Sorensen wants to pass through to her audience. What I love most about the book is that with the way it was written, the reader feels present through Anna-Karen's experience. The use of real-time pictures helped to achieve this effect. poems like "silver threads of the sky" and "falling into space".

I must confess that Anna-Karen's book is the first poetry that I have enjoyed reading so far. Each line was filled with unexplainable emotions about and for premature babies. I could hardly fault this book because I found no errors in it. I disliked nothing in the book. With this, I can say that this book was excellently edited and well written. Anna-Karen successfully shared her emotions with the reader with an open mind.

The book sang to my soul and made me see premature babies in a new light. There was nothing I disliked. The book was exceptionally well-edited. All of these reasons, and the fact that I love this book so much, are responsible for my decision to rate this book 4 out of 4 stars .

This book is perfect for poem lovers and also for those that find poetry boring. I think this book will bring a change of heart. I also recommend this book to parents who have lost a child. I think this book will help them get proper closure and healing. But I must warn a parent that just recently lost their child that, borrowing Anna-Karen's words, "sometimes it is necessary for time to pass so that the raw edge of memory is not too sharp for the mind to wrap itself around".
