Who you are will be the result of what you think of yourself...James Coppi was considering himself not a lifer in his military career. He was being sent to Vietnam War and was not afraid if something lies ahead of him, but before he reached there, he met Samantha Powers whom he didn’t expect to run into him and so as she.
A-Police-Action was written in a form of superb thinking and full of maturity. A combination of War and Love story that causes you pain, hatred, loved, happiness, and sadness. A true to life events in our fellow human being whose part in military, where all they have to do is pray that they will meet again their family after the war. There is a great impact within yourself as you go deepen in reading this book, a mixed emotion only you, yourself can find out.
I like it when the author wrote a term and acronym wherein the reader will not be left out and confused as they go along in their reading; aside from it, the author also introduce things that involves in military, wherein the readers, especially those whose not in military, can gain knowledge and understanding about the field.
What I didn’t like in this book is the grammar, like “why the heck is Sam so set on my meeting her parents, instead of “why the heck is Sam so set on to meet her parents” and the comma, like “It’s me that’s the problem” instead of “It’s me, that’s the problem” because for me as a reader, it makes the sentence confusing.
I rate A-Police-Action 3 out of 4 stars because there’s so much to learn in this book and I’m thankful that in my age right now, I’ve encountered a modest and excellent book from A.A. Freda which can help me question my own capabilities regarding the work that I am in to. There is some errors regarding the grammar but it is still readable and understandable as you read it. I am not fan of this kind of book but it gets my interest to read it because this book holds some key regarding to your behavior and attitude in dealing complicated situations. The author really did a good job in writing this piece of art. I didn’t rate it 2 because it is obvious that I like it and I want everybody to read it. I didn’t rate it 4 because of some technical errors that ruins the momentum of the readers.
The essence of the independent mind lies not in what it thinks, but in how it thinks. Christopher Hitchens,
