One thing I could say is that this book is exceptionally inspiring and intense. Tour of Duty is a book filled with action with a sprinkle of romance. This is a fascinating novel with a twist of romance.

The beauty of William H. Coles’ Tour of Duty lies in the perfect blend of thrill, drama, and realizations. I enjoyed the author’s deep perspectives and ideas that make his book unique and alive. It’s a book with a roller coaster of emotions from the beginning to the end.

The year was 1960, and the relationship between the United States and France was not good. Ballard was a physician in the military tasked to report to France. In the beginning, the author was vivid and clear with his partner, Ingrid, who fetched him on his arrival. The two had their misunderstanding, but along the way, Ingrid finally learned how good and trustworthy Miles Ballard is. The conflict began when Miles Ballard was asked to alter medical records and other things that are not according to the code of conduct and the protocols of the United States Air Force. When he chose not to conform with his superior, he was accused of insubordination. Now, Miles Ballard's life and future are at stake. All of his good deeds and the lives of the people that he saved are now in vain.
I like the twists and turns of the plot and how developed the characters were. With that, I am giving this book five out of five stars.
