Deadly Waters: The Vietnam Naval War and its Aftermath is a great work of historical fiction given to us by Randy Millers, who is a great writer who has given us such a fine piece of work. He was in the Deck and Navigational Division on the third ship assigned to "Operation Market Time." That's why we know that the book is a great mix of historical and fiction.
The book talks about the story of Zachariah Martin, who enlists in the Navy in 1964 and is sent to fight in the Vietnam War. The book talks about the experience of Zachariah through the war and after he returns from the war. The character setting in the novel is very beautiful. Especially the main character Zach is depicted very well; he is depicted as a sympathetic protagonist, and I think that most of the readers will relate to him. The book in itself is based on true events, and it sheds light on the lesser-known story of the "Blue Water Navy." These sailors were mostly stationed offshore, but they were still exposed to herbicides.
The writing style of the book is clear, and it does great at making you breeze through the book. I liked the well-balanced action in the book that feels realistic and yet does not stare at reality. The book's writing style is so realistic and feels so true that I think it can even overwhelm some readers. The character development in the book is so good that it feels like we are talking about real people. The author has done a great job of making such a book. The book has flawless editing with no typos. There is one thing: the book is great, but it contains abusive language and a bit of sexual content.

I would rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. 1 star for flawless editing, 1 star for the great balance between fiction and reality, 1 star for great character development, 1 star for the engaging story, and 1 star deducted for excessive use of abusive language and erotic content.
