Review of Barton Place
It all started that rainy evening when a stranger appeared at the gate of Mr. Barton. This stranger, who was robbed and drenched from the rain, appeared at the gate of Mr. Barton, where Lawrie allowed him in. During this period, Mr. Barton's daughter, Evelyn, was about to be bled by the family doctor, Dr. Talbott. She was very sick and at the point of death. The stranger who had appeared at the gate asked that he treat Evelyn. He then successfully healed her, and this news spread around. Who is this stranger? Where has he come from? Where has he gotten his unique medical skills from? Unfold these mysteries as you grab a copy of this book.
This audiobook was lovely. I was amazed by the amount of work put into the production of this audiobook. I have listened to many audiobooks in the past, and I must say that this one tops all of them. The sound effects, like the sound of the doors opening, the rain, and the background noises, all sounded so real and combined to make this book a masterpiece. The narrator also did an amazing job in this book. The voice acting is out of this world. The best part was that he never broke character. The way the voice sounded in Chapter 1 was how it sounded in every other chapter.
The plot of this book is beautiful. The twists in it made me love it even more, especially the twist regarding the original identity of Mrs. Clarkson. Many parts of this book stood out to me. The only part of this book that may have caused me a bit of confusion was the multiple subplots at the beginning of the story. However, this was quickly addressed as the subplots came together and the story became more interesting.
Barton Place: American Historical Family Saga Fiction was written by Stephan Bellesini and narrated by Ean Leppin. This audiobook has everything needed to make a great book, and for all the reasons listed above, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. I did not hear any errors while listening to this book, and the production was perfect. I recommend this book to lovers of books set in the 1800s. Lovers of drama and twists will also love this book.
