Dagger's Destiny by Linnea Tanner is a cool book set in ancient times. It's the second part of the Curse of Clansmen and Kings series. The story is about Catrin, a Celtic warrior princess, and Marcellus, a Roman officer. They're in a tricky situation with forbidden love, political stuff, and old prophecies. The action happens in 24 AD Britannia, where different groups are fighting, and Catrin has to prove herself to her dad, King Amren.

I really liked this book, just like the first one. The author, Linnea Tanner, is good at mixing real history, myths, and fantasy into a fun story. She did lots of research, and you can really imagine how the Celts and Romans lived. The story is fast and exciting, with lots of surprises. The characters, especially Catrin and Marcellus, feel real and interesting. Catrin is a strong and brave girl dealing with love, destiny, and tough choices. Marcellus is a good guy who risks a lot for love and his beliefs. Other characters in the story are cool too, adding more to the whole adventure.

This book isn't a standalone, so it ends with you wanting to know more in the next one. It's a bit intense, with some tough scenes, but they fit the story. I didn't find any mistakes in the writing, so big props to the author and editor for that.

I'd give Dagger's Destiny 4 out of 5 stars. I recommend it if you like historical fiction, fantasy, or romance. The only reason it's not a perfect score is that some parts felt a bit rushed. I wanted to know more about Catrin's relationship with her half-brother and the Druids' role in the prophecy. Also, I wished there was more about Marcellus's life outside the main story. But these are small things that didn't ruin the book for me.

Dagger's Destiny is a book that takes you back in time and makes you feel what the characters feel. It keeps you interested from the start to the end. If you enjoy a good story, this book is a great pick.
