Review of Wild World
Wild World by Peter S. Rush is a historical fiction novel. This novel is a standalone book. There are a ton of social, political, and crime puzzles in this book.
When four students were murdered at a protest at Brown University, Steve Logan's dream was altered. The Vietnam War was raging when this novel took place in the 1970s. Steve is a college graduate who plans to pursue law school. One of the many students who are protesting against police brutality is Steve, together with his girlfriend. This comes after unruly police officers killed or seriously injured students on a college campus. Steve thought he wasn't doing enough to stop the Vietnam War after speaking briefly with Sergeant David Durk. Although it wasn't as simple as it appeared, he believed he could do more if he was part of the system and made a contribution while there. Steve decides to enlist in the police department and work as an officer after receiving support from his buddies and mentors. Steve thinks that for transformation to happen, it needs to start within these systems.
I find this novel's incredible world-building to be especially enjoyable. I really appreciate how well the author has described the locations and events in this story. I found it simple to track the storyline all the way to the finish as a result. The narration of the story was great. The characters in this book were very fascinating. I also found the character development in this novel to be enjoyable. Reading this novel gave me the impression that I was within the characters' thoughts, which made it simpler for me to understand who they were. Besides, the starting of the story was quite slow and monotonous. But, as I continued to read, the vocabulary made more sense to me. I experienced a range of emotions while reading this book, which I found to be really enjoyable.
I couldn't really find anything about this book that I disliked. This novel's plot has been well thought out and developed with great care. Overall, the book is entertaining and instructive on social concerns and war.
The book was professionally edited because I didn't find any typos or mistakes in it. Third-person narrators are used in this book. As a result, I give this novel 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to people who like reading historical and political novels. Furthermore, because it includes some violent and detailed death scenes, I do not recommend this book for younger readers.
