Wild World by Peter S. Rush is about Steve’s story, a boy in his College who has seen the brutality of the world. This opened his eyes into making a difference, he entered a Police Department, to be able to save and serve the people. But, this did not come as easy as he thought, he encountered problems that would make him question his worth. That if being a policeman can change the system, or the system will change him as a person who is serving the people. These dilemmas will take a toll on him, but his determination is still there and it will never change.

What I like about the book is when Steve is so persistent in making a difference. His sacrifices are focused on how he can stop the crime that is happening around him and how he can save the people around him. His personality is very brave and determined, even though at first it didn’t go in his way. That never stops him from making something that could help society; instead, he works hard to find things that could be a great solution to the problems that he encounters. Also, I liked how Steve asked for the help of other people because in the end, societal problems cannot be resolved by just one person. Moreover, I loved that Steve was able to find his true calling.

There is nothing that I didn’t like about the book. I completely understood where Steve came from. His sacrifices all boil down to making the world a better place to live in.

I will rate this book a 4 out of 5 stars, because it is exceptionally edited and I don’t notice a mistake. I just hope that the author included the point of view of some characters, because it is too focused on the protagonist. I know that the story is about Steve’s experiences, but including some perspective from other personas will give a great impact to the novel. Other than that, I really enjoyed the book and I acquired some wisdom that I could use in the future.

I will recommend this book to youth and adults, because this novel tackles politics and societal issues that greatly affect their lives. This book will motivate them to take a stand in this mess-up world and to take a step forward, to be able to stop the brutality that is happening around them.
