Review of Beyond the Higher Ground
Beyond the Higher Ground by Thomas A. Brigger is an historical fiction that centers on a young Man named Tucker Mason. Tucker, who recently moved to a small town of Wells County, Virginia, hoping to start a new life. Being hunted by the constant reminder of his beautiful wife, he decided to live alone in a newly renovated house while trying to move past the loneliness caused by the demise of his wife. Moving into his new home, several frightening and scary occurrence began to take place. It is of no surprise with everything going on, and judging by the story attributed to the previous tenants of the house and the local authorities turning a blind eye to everything going on. Was Tucker able to survive the torment and live peacefully in the house? Why don't you grab the book and find out?
Beyond the Higher Ground by Thomas A. Brigger is very captivating and worth reading. I find myself glued to the book, giggling in between, with a sense of horror and suspense as well. The author did an impressive job describing every scene in details without dragging the story. The story line is also seamless and flawless as it encompasses friendship, grieve, abuse, human trafficking and many more. I love Tuckers determination to find out what exactly the problem was without running. My favorite character is Sally with her caring, loving and compassionate heart. I also love how reading through brings out various expression like sympathy, anger, regrets and many more. It was as if I were right there first handed, experiencing it. This is how relatable the book is.
I disliked the writing styles of some words as it seam too long to comprehend, but that did not affect how I love reading this book. I did not find anything else that is negative about this book. I completely love reading the book right from beginning until the end of the book.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. This is because I did not find any error while reading though, therefore, this is a well-edited book. I also love how well-structured and how the author gave explicit details about each character and their unique role.
I recommend this book to people who love action, horror, and suspense. This book will also be suitable for people who have in one way lost a loved one. It keeps conversation going smoothly. This book is not suitable for people who do not believe in Ghost or anything related as this might scare them.
