Killing Abel by Michael Tieman is a historical fiction novel. The book is an inventive retelling of the Bible's origin stories.

This book offers another account of the interactions between God and Adam, his firstborn son on earth. In the Garden of Eden, where Adam and Eve resided, they relished all the comforts that God had given them. Due to their disobedience, Adam and Eve were banished from the garden and forced to live on their own in the outside world. They sought God's advice again as they labored to deliver a male child. Once more, they disobeyed, and it cost them dearly. Discover the consequences of their disobedience and whether God accepted them back in this book.

I admire how each character in the novel was developed by the author and how he made it a fun read for non-Christians. This book not only has great character development but also a great plot and structure. In the Garden of Eden, the author begins his book with Eve's seduction and Adam's guilt, and he closes it with the deluge. By completing the gaps in the Bible, the book aims to enlarge on these tales. The moral of the story urges married couples to forgive one another in order to maintain their marriage. It also teaches patience and perseverance.

I liked the novel's inventiveness and the way it combined fiction and biblical passages. The phrases were well-structured and the language was carefully picked. The book was easier to read as a result of this. The book was lengthy, but I loved reading every page of it. A novel in this genre (Christian fiction) wasn't expected to be as action-packed as this one was.

The author included biblical allusions when appropriate, and the book's fifteen chapters are expertly organized. There was nothing about the book that I did not like. I became fascinated with the novel due to the plot, which attracted me.

I found no typos or errors in the book, indicating that it has been professionally edited. As a result, I give this historical fiction novel 5 out of 5 stars. I had never before read any Christian literature. Due to its fantastic features, which I adored, it deserved a good rating. This book might be intriguing to those who appreciate theology, philosophy, and fiction. Any history buff, Christian, or someone interested in learning about the origins of the world from a different angle should read this book, in my opinion.
