You can't change what you don't know is there, so in order to effectively make a change in the world, one needs to become involved in the system, comprehend it, and understand how things are done. This appears to be what the book is about.

In the book Wild World by Peter S. Rush, four students from Kent University in Ohio were killed while protesting against the war at the beginning of the narrative. Steve, Roxanne, Captain Lynch, and other intriguing individuals are at the heart of the story. Steve is a Brown University alum who aspires to attend law school and practice law. Roxanne, on the other hand, is his girlfriend and a medical student. She had a big impact on Steve. Steve was prepared to give up his dreams for her because he loved her so much. The relationship started to fall apart when Steve decided to give up on his goal of becoming a lawyer in favor of enrolling in the police academy. His goal was to enter the system and put an end to the abnormalities—bribery, corruption, and drug use—that were rampant in the department. Will he be successful? How will his father react to the idea? Will it negatively impact his relationship with Roxy and his other friends? Get a copy right away! to find out.

Each chapter seamlessly transitioned into the next, which was a fantastic technique used by the author. The author's use of detail and his realistic depiction of the shady dealings taking place in the police department make for a well-written novel. Because of the system's inherent corruption, if you decide to stand out from the crowd and defend the truth, you will be labeled an enemy and subjected to punishment. The time Steve was pummeled by his coworkers in a group and sentenced to time served as a result of standing up was a prime example of mistreating a prisoner. Even if no one was willing to stand with him, Steve's drive to improve the system was admirable. The police department is made up of two groups of people: the corrupt police, such as Chief Colonel McGuire, Captain Lynch, Rizzo, and Bouley, who accepted bribes, covered up crimes, and oppressed and intimidated the poor because they were in positions of power and no one could do anything to stop them. While Crowley and Dylan were among the police who were aware of what was happening but opted to remain silent out of fear for their jobs, retirement benefits, or perhaps their lives, the other group of officers included officers who were aware of what was happening but chose to remain silent.

Steve is the character I like best. His dedication to changing things and his willingness to risk his life for it are admirable. When he broke into Dean Toll's office to collect proof to bring down a corrupt system, my heart was thumping for him. I was astounded at how he managed to gather the proof by himself that resulted in the overhauling of the police system. I also like his undying love for Roxy and how, even after she cheated on him with Cal, he was still prepared to make sacrifices for her and make sure she was okay. This demonstrates how deeply he loved her. Not every man will act in this way, so he's a keeper.

It was both his strength and weakness to love Roxanne. It was not admirable how he ignored all of her flaws and excesses. He was obviously swayed by love. The one aspect of the novel that I didn't enjoy was how he pretended to have cheated on her in the past so that she wouldn't feel bad about him. It was very unsettling. In my opinion, when someone does something wrong, they need to be told the truth—that what they did was wrong—instead of being coddled because you don't want them to feel guilty. However, overall, I find the book to be engaging.

I must commend the author for his originality. I found no errors in the book, which means that the editing was flawless. Because I liked reading it, I'll give this book a rating of five out of five stars. The negative was so negligible that it had no bearing on how I rated the book. I'll recommend this book to anyone who wants to make an Impact and effect change in the environment, as well as to anyone who likes love and romance. You should read "Wild World" immediately.
