Killing Abel, written by Michael Tieman is a historical fiction surrounding the events that occurred in the Garden Of Eden and the events leading up to the downfall of mankind.

The story begins when Lucifer is sent to the Garden Of Eden to assist Adam and Eve. However, things take a turn for the worst when he entices Eve in the form of a serpent to eat from the forbidden tree, The Tree Of Knowledge. Unable to resist any further, she indulges in the pleasure of consuming the forbidden fruit and thereafter persuades Adam in joining her. It was at this point, that they realized that they had committed an unforgivable mistake and would never again receive the peace and tranquility of the Garden Of Eden. They face many difficulties on their way to self-discovery. Even birth many female offspring but there are no husbands for these women. Many years later, they're blessed with a son, Cain. He is cold and distant with no interest in women. Two years later, Abel is born and quickly becomes the favorite and most desirable among the women. One day in a fit of rage, Cain murders Abel and flees. Eva, Abel's betrothed, follows after him with vengeance in her mind, and with no way to return home, the two create a life together and build an empire. Along their journey, we find out that their offspring are filled with greed and a thirst for power, and here their downfall begins. The story then follows the way Noah and the floods come into play and at the end concludes with the end of evil.

The novel was interesting to read and had me captivated from beginning to end. The author gave a very intriguing insight into the minds of Adam, Eve, and their offspring.

There is nothing to dislike about the novel as it has all the elements needed to captivate a reader. I admired the way that the author managed to fit so many emotions into a single novel and give the characters life-like characteristics. The scenes depicted in the novel are based on the events that took place in the Bible.

I would rate this book a 4 out of 4. It was well-edited and showed professionalism in the author's writing. It is a must-read for all those looking for a good novel that entails different characters such as Nephilim and a fight between good verses evil.
