Killing Abel by Michael Tieman is a fictional book that tells the story of the creation of man. Adam and Eve were the first humans to be created, and God, being a loving father, provided them with comfort in the garden of Eden. He had also warned them to stay away from a particular tree, the tree of knowledge. But they were misled by Lucifer and disobeyed their father. Because of this act of disobedience, they were banished from the garden. This book entails the story of their life after the garden. Cain and Abel, their first two sons were birthed and the first murder case in the history of man occurred. How did God handle the first murder case? Find out by reading this book. This book also cuts across other generations of Adam: Enoch, Methuselah, and Noah, amongst others. Noah was known as the comforter. Later in the book, the author narrated how Noah fulfilled his mission by building an ark according to the will of God.

Growing up as a Christian and reading the Bible, I had questions regarding the creation of man. Why God had to banish his children from the garden, how Cain and Abel were able to procreate, since there were no records of them getting married in the Bible, and why God handled the first murder case the way he did. This book provided answers to my questions. The book made me understand how much of a loving father God is. Michael Tieman did a great job in making the book well-detailed, and such that even non-Christians would be able to comprehend the story. I also like how he added biblical references in each chapter of the book. My favorite character in the book is Abel. I adore his humility, diligence, and love for God and his family.

I did not dislike anything about the book. The author's creative writing captivated me even more, and I almost forgot the book was fictional.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I found a few errors, but this did not affect my rating of the book. The book is well-detailed and intriguing, I had an interesting read.

I recommend this book to lovers of Bible stories and also to Christians who want to gain more knowledge about God and the creation of man. This book is also suitable for parents because it teaches parental love.
