This novel, Killing Abel by Michael Tieman is one of those books that are based entirely on the Holly book, the Bible. The Author has a huge imagination that you will appreciate after reading how he uses fiction in a world that once existed as he fills in the gaps from the Bible.

The book is based specifically on the first book of Genesis where we get to understand the start of life from the garden of Eden. The experience of the first human beings Adam and Eve and how they had to navigate the earth with no manual at all. The ups and downs of life as we know right now were experienced by Adam and Eve as the Author does a good job of bringing the past back to life. One character, Lucifer was a friend to humans as he was bestowed with the responsibility to be the guide once in a while and he used this power to make sure that humans, Adam and Eve would disagree with God by giving them the apple. This was the onset of Evil.

Michael Tieman is a very religious man and from this story of Killing Abel, you can easily tell as he leaves no details to chance. He takes us through the private life of Abel and Cain, their marriage, and a lot that is not in the Bible yet fits so well with the author's creative imagination. I must admit that I have had a lot of fun reading this book not just because I am a Christian but because of how the fiction that is used here, makes up one of the best stories to read. You will get to understand the lineage of humanity all the way to Noah and why God asked him to build a wooden boat as an arc.

I like this book as it is an intriguing one, there are a lot of Bible verses used making it very relatable and even making one forget that it is a fictional book. The Bible verses are from the King James Version which is well known by many people and apart from that makes the pages easy and quick to go through as the verses are all in brackets with most wordings in quotes.

I did not find much not to like about this book as the Author did a good job in clearing up any forms of errors and simple grammatical mistakes, no hard vocabulary that would require a dictionary making it very easy to read through. I rate Killing Abel 3 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to anyone in any age bracket who loves reading the Bible stories and also because there is no profanity or vulgar language used by the author.
