Killing Abel by Michael Tieman is a brilliantly written historical fiction novel that talks about man's early days on earth. This book takes a reader back to the story of creation.

The author is a Christian father of three beautiful kids. This novel is based on words from the Book of Genesis in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible. The book interprets the historical events from Adam to Noah and answers multiple questions related to the story of creation, the tree of life, the tree of knowledge, the garden of Eden, how to carry a male child, the killing of Abel, the ark built by Noah, the outcome of the flood, and what judgment is all about in the early days on earth. This book has a very interesting concept. I could easily visualize the gardens and rivers surrounded by trees, the pentagon in the city of the Cainites which had five pinnacles and five points that represent a circle, and the adventures of Cain and Abel.

The historical accuracy in the novel is exceptional. Some biblical references are also noted. This novel explains how difficult a father's duties can often be as all-loving fathers struggle to express their love for their children. Being a good father is the most consequential obligation a man has. The action you take as a father has a major role to play in how your children behave. I enjoyed how the author structured the stories of the Cainites and Sethites, thereby making them easy to understand without confusing the reader. The author's writing was straightforward. I enjoyed learning more than I had known previously about the story of creation and the killing of Abel. I also liked how the book is made of simple sentences with an easy flow of words. This book inspired me to be a better person and made me realize that there are consequences for all your actions here on earth. I found this book to be incredibly enjoyable and well written.

I don't see anything negative that is worth mentioning in this book. It is exceptionally well-edited and there was no use of profane words.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because enjoyed the structure of the plot which is based on truth evident in recorded history. I highly recommend this book to readers who are interested in learning more about the story of the creation and what happened on earth in the early days of man. I also recommend this book to readers who enjoy historical fiction. I feel the author did an excellent job with this book.
