Influential people from the past like Buddha, Mohammed, Jesus, Albert Einstein, Abraham Lincoln, Margaret Mead and a few others sparked back to life in the 21st century. They did all they could to fit into the time and system of the world.

The Godchild by Stuart Rawlings is a historical fiction book. Rawlings tells us about a mysterious little girl who had supernatural powers and how she wanted fixing the world but saw the need to get back up from historical leaders. She gives them what they needed to start a new life, travel around and interact with others within a month. What happens next? Read the book to find out.

I am not a fan of historical books, but I must say, this one was nice, and I enjoyed reading it. I liked the fact that the book was straight forward, and understanding some of the characters' conversations was not too confusing.

I would not say I liked that the book was too short, and I feel the chapters should have been a bit longer; some of the conversations did not sound complete. Secondly, religious leaders like Jesus had no power on their own, and they always needed the little girl for their deliverance was extraordinary. It made it look like the author was talking about someone else. Moreover, I would not say I liked the way the book ended. Their efforts seemed wasted.

I am rating this book 4 out of 4 points because I barely noticed any typos. It implies that the writer had edited it professionally and left me intrigued till the end. While reading, I kept wishing the book found its core on real-life events.

To all historical fiction lovers, trust me, you do not want to sit this one out, and for people who get angry quickly over religious issues, you had better leave this one unopened.
