It sounds like this book really drew you in to the storyline. Isn’t that great when it happens? So nice when an author has written a solid story that not only is for one book but for one prior and another one to come! It seems that the writing is of great quality with no errors. Right there, that is a plus. This review was so insightful because jumping into a second book, I was a bit lost at first. Thanks for all the great information!

I think the thing I would like most about this book would be the variety of settings and storylines as a result of it spanning several centuries. It must be a very stimulating read. Many thanks or your detailed and sincere review.

The storyline of "The Noble Mercenary" by Patrick John Donahoe" reminds me so much of these movies - "Twilight" where these immortals have to keep changing their location in order to escape the suspicion that they do not age like their peers. This book, "The Noble Mercenary" by Patrick John Donahoe" sounds interesting. The part that intrigues me the most is the ability of Patrick to incorporate real-world scenarios into this fictional story. I would take pleasure in reading this book with a nice cup of hot chocolate.

Thanks for the in-depth review. This book sounds like my genre ...

I like the incorporation of contrasting pictures of culture at different time points in the history. Thanks for the amazing review, this one might just be the book for me.

This sounds like a very unique and intriguing book, both for the plot line as well as the structure with the interwoven standalone stories. I will have to check it out! Thanks for the review.

Sounds like an incredible historical fiction. I'm sure readers who are passionate about history as well as action-filled thrillers will enjoy reading this book immensely. Even if I don't like slow-paced books, since I'm a fan of both, I'll definitely read it. So, thanks so much for the nice review.

This is a well written review. I enjoyed reading it but for one flaw. The very first line in her review was never mentioned again in her review. Why was this sentence important enough to make such a bold statement as being the first thing we read but with no further enlightenment?

"What would you do if you had the ability to be a 'millenial?''

This leads me to believe that in order to enjoy the plot I need to read the first book first so I can understand the answer when I find it.

This sounds intriguing. The immortality aspect is neat, and it reminds me a bit of superhero fiction, which I'm always willing to try. Thanks for your review!

This sounds like an interesting book about immortals who have been on Earth for a very, very long time. They have experienced a lot and have seen a lot being the defenders of all people. I find it also quite interesting that some of the chapters in the book may be considered as standalones with a separate story. It must be exciting to read the book. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I love the plotting of this historical story... I can't wait to read this book to see what will become of Ian, Jacques, Serena, and Desiree, been a semi-immortal beings.

I am so torn as to whether to read this book or not. I do like reading action and adventure stories. What bothers me is the semi-immortality. Is it because they were born this way? Did something happen to them? Depending on what the answer is to those questions would be the determining factor to my reading this.

This book has an interesting plot. I bet with being around for some many years that it would be somewhat of an easy task to not only know of the big cases. Yet, also seems that it would not be difficult to fitting everyone and everything into the takedowns. But it has also had to be difficult to be immortal therefore, I am interested to see where this story goes.

This is a fascinating premise and it sounds like there are lots of mysteries to discover. Semi-mortal do-gooders with an agenda. I love it. Thanks for the thorough and thoughtful review.
