Please use this forum to discuss historical fiction books. Common definitions define historical fiction as novels written at least 25-50 years after the book's setting.
Usually I enjoy a historical fiction but tend to stay away from WW2 books. This one sounds interesting and I'd probably pass this review on to other people (it really gives a good idea of what to expect when reading). I agree with you, having Charlie say he loves Marie and then not act like it would bug me- is that something that occurs throughout the book?
