As a child, few places feel safer than your bed. It is where you go for warmth on a cold day, comfort on a difficult day, and the one place you crave to be when you're feeling unwell, as you know it is the only thing that will make you feel better.

Stevie Tenderheart knows this feeling all too well, and he is trying to find a way to make his bed feel even more welcoming! From adding his favourite toys to moving his bed around (and even adding his favourite pets!) Stevie is determined to make his bed the best place in the world! Stevie Tenderheart Books WAIT A MINUTE! (An Illustrated Novella) by Steve William Laible is the story of how he goes about it.

This book not only contains some sweet anecdotes but also some gorgeous illustrations! They are bright and colourful, and they do a great job of making the book accessible to young kids.

An aspect of this book that I found quite innovative was how the author utilised colour. When describing something as a specific colour, the word is typed out in that colour. So, red is typed out in red text, blue is typed out in blue text, and so on. I think this is a lovely way to naturally expose children to colours. It will be especially helpful to younger children whose parents are reading the book to them, as they will hear the colour and then physically see it. It is a wonderful learning opportunity!

Throughout my time reading this book and writing my review, I could think of no negative points to address. The book is captivating and informative, and will be greatly enjoyed by those who decide to pick it up! Additionally, I found no errors whatsoever. This is exceptional and makes it even easier to rate this book 5 out of 5 stars!

I would recommend this book to parents of young children looking to get their little ones into reading, as well as to children who have been reading by themselves for a little while. It may be slightly advanced for new readers.
