WAIT A MINUTE! (An Illustrated Novella) by Steve William Laible is a short children’s book that is both fun and educational. Stevie Tenderheart is a young boy who loves food, dogs, monkeys, and lots of fun things. He dreams a lot, and his active imagination always makes his dreams colorful.

Stevie is playful and has bizarre imaginations. He also considered himself funny. Every night, he fills his bed with his favorite things, which help him on his adventures. His bedtime ritual may seem consistent, but his creative and imaginative nature always adds an entertaining twist to it.

Indeed, the author knows how to delight children with his stories. His tone is friendly and understandable. The illustrations in this book are clear and colorful, all thanks to Nancy Watson. This makes the book more appealing to children, as it brings Stevie’s numerous imaginations to life. I had a great time reading this book to my niece. The contents of this book are entertaining as well as educational, as children get to learn the different colors, good eating habits, and much more. It also helps children ask smart questions about some of the animal behavior mentioned in the book and other things.

I have read a lot of books in Steve Tenderheart’s collection, and they are all wonderful. This one is no exception. There is absolutely nothing I disliked about this book. It is exceptionally well-edited, as I found no grammar or punctuation errors in it.

In my opinion, WAIT A MINUTE! (An Illustrated Novella) by Steve William Laible is well deserving of a 5-star rating. It would be best suited for children between the ages of 3 and 7 years old. It can be read to them as a bedtime story or during storytime at school, as there are a lot of valuable lessons in it.
