"Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids" is an engaging and beautifully written book that brings the teachings of the Bible to life. It is written in simple language that is suitable for both adults and children. Adults and parents will find it an invaluable tool for teaching and reinforcing biblical truths to children, teenagers and young adults.
The book emphasizes the importance of holding God's word above our experiences, and it illustrates this perfectly when Emma's parents fact-checked Emma's account of what she saw in her dreams when she visited heaven by referencing the Bible. It highlights the need for Christians to teach their children about God and the universe from an early age, and to guide them as they seek to understand the truths and biblical principles they are taught. It also gives parents a guide to introduce children to the not-so-pleasant teachings about hell that they tend to shy away from. This makes the book a comprehensive and fundamental guide to teaching children the basic truth about heaven and hell, Jesus Christ and the devil, and right and wrong as they navigate life.
The colourful pictorial illustrations are well laid out, making it fascinating and immersing for children who cannot read yet, as the pictures capture beautiful sights and biblical truths and bring them to life. Older children who can read will appreciate the simple language used and will also pick up the fundamental teachings of the apostles, emphasizing the need to go back to the Bible whenever they have questions about any biblical teaching or principle.
The book concludes with the heart of the message of Christianity, which is the desire that all souls should be saved, and provides a concise prayer that parents and children can use to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal saviour. I enjoyed reading the book, and I did not put it down until I finished the last page. The editing is flawless, and I did not pick up any grammatical or typographical errors whatsoever. The concepts in the chapters flow naturally and build on the previous teachings as one goes along.
