Alpha Buddies Land by Donna Marie Rink is an illustrated children’s book that narrates the adventures of 26 alphabet letters and their friends in Alpha Buddies Land. Each letter is accompanied by its own personality and an image to illustrate the adventure it is having with its friends. Follow the story of Alpha A, Buddy B, Cutie Pie C, and the others as they make their way through Alpha Buddies Land.

This picture book is a wonderful gift for young children. My little brother, who is 7, had fun reading it to our little sister, who is 5. It was easy for children who had just learned how to read. It is also perfect that each page only contains a few sentences, and a colorful illustration accompanies each narrated page. The brightly colored illustrations can hold the attention of toddlers, and the sentences are perfect for sounding out the letters.

If there’s one thing I would change in this picture book, it is to add some color to pages without illustrations. I believe it would be more aesthetically pleasing and eye-catching if the page with only one to three sentences had some splash of color. However, my brother didn't mind the lack of color on those pages. I think it made him less distracted. He has ADHD and loves reading, so I think he liked that he could focus on the material he's reading.

With all of that said, I would rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. It is a perfect book for young children learning their alphabet and those who just learned how to read. I also think the names of the characters are so cute; my siblings definitely enjoyed it. I also only found a few grammatical mistakes. I would recommend this book to young children up to seven years old.
