Stevie Tenderheart is a little boy who dreams a lot. This story is a vivid narration of his bedtime dreams, ones that he consciously dreams of right before falling asleep. He dreams of bringing in various animals—domestic and wild—to his bed before sleeping. But, WAIT A MINUTE!, the frog would sit on his head and the duck would quack quack—that is how the title of the story came to be.

Stevie Tenderheart Books WAIT A MINUTE! (An Illustrated Novella) by Steve William Laible is filled with many more quirky and witty thoughts. I am sure all kids go through these thoughts before bedtime. I loved how the author narrates the kid’s thoughts. We feel as though we were Stevie himself. I am sure young readers would love this book.

The author's creativity truly shines through in this book, making it a fun and engaging read for young children. The illustrations bring the story to life in a way that is sure to capture the imagination of young readers. The entire book is filled with vivid and colorful illustrations. Each of them is detailed, which helps the kids imagine how these animals are on Stevie’s bed. I loved them the most. As you read, it can help you teach your kids the names of animals and even colors along the way. It's a great way to engage children in learning while enjoying a fun story.

I found no negative aspects in this book at all. Few words are made up as they would be in many children's books. Besides that, I did find a few spelling errors. Another round of proofreading would be helpful.

I would gladly rate this book five out of five stars. I would highly recommend this one for Montessori and kindergarten kids who love bedtime stories. Parents and even educational institutions could use this book as a fun tool that would serve both education and entertainment for the kids.
