Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids was a very well written book. The illustrations were very colorful and attention grabbing, which is wonderful for holding younger readers attention.

This book was about a small child’s journey to heaven in her dreams that left her awe inspired and excited. When awoken she would recount her experiences to her sister and parents.

This is a lovely book that helps explain to children the concept of heaven and hell in a more gentle manner than other books. Many parents struggle with trying to teach their children about Hell because of fear of scaring them, but knowing the importance of giving them the knowledge as directly as possible.

I especially liked that the author included direct versus from the Bible with notations of the verse in the footnotes of the pages as well as including other popular people from the Bible. This, I feel, would keep a child’s attention because they would recognize the names from other stories they’ve learned about. It was also a nice touch by the authors to include a note for parents at the end of the book.

I did not care for the continual use of the words “mommy and daddy.” I found it distracting and thought it took away from the rest of the story because other than that it was very well written.

The lack of grammatical and spelling errors made reading this story very pleasant.

Overall, I would rate this book as a 4 out of 5. I felt that though it was extremely well written, the continual use of the words “mommy and daddy” took away from the overall experience. I would most definitely recommend this book to parents of the Christian faith that have young children, and I look forward to reading future works from these authors.
