Stevie Tenderheart Books WAIT A MINUTE! (An Illustrated Novella) by Steve William Laible is a warm storybook that deeply depicts how creative children’s minds can be when they are about to go to bed. The story is about Stevie Tenderheart’s nightly routine. He was thinking of putting different species of animals on his bed and was now classifying them according to how heavy, disturbing, and messy they could be. Like the baby dinosaur, who, as he said, can soil his bed with urine, baby monkeys are known to be very active and playful, which can prevent them from sleeping.

Also, he thought of putting his toys in his bed, only to end up not finding any place to put his body as the toys took up most of the space on his small bed. The colorful illustrations showed each event as Stevie was describing them with beautiful colors. I like how the storybook also passed out a message on hygiene. Stevie usually takes his bath before sleeping. Likewise, some parts were highlighted with colors to show the children what color Stevie was talking about.

There’s nothing I dislike about the novel, but I find some parts repetitive, which can be boring for an adult, but for children, I’m sure they won’t mind. The illustrations will make it easy for children if they get old enough to identify animals better. And they will also learn to keep their toys out of bed and take their hygiene seriously to get a good night's rest. The observation above does not affect my ratings. I give this 5 out of 5 stars. There were no errors whatsoever. I’m sure children will love it. This is the third of Stevie Tenderheart’s books I’m reading, and I’ve always found them interesting. Like I’ve said throughout the review, children will find this pretty useful and interesting.
