The Very Hungry Beagles Guide to Poop by M. Jackson is nothing like any other children's book I have ever read. Narrated by the mischievous beagles themselves—Lucky, Mr. Beckham, and Peanut—the story takes readers through the wacky world of animal poop that dogs just can't resist.

It's a quick and funny read for kids who enjoy a good, goofy laugh or for dog owners who know all too well the struggle of dealing with their furry friend's poop obsession. Readers will get to know the taste and smell of different types of poop. It sounds gross as it is, but I actually enjoyed it and learned some interesting facts about the lives of farm animals, such as their eating habits. The author even turns it into a bit of a contest by rating each type of poop at the end. Such a unique story!

Speaking of the illustrations, they're innocent and look like something a kid doodled in class—but weirdly enough, they made me feel emotional from the very first page. Perhaps it's the nostalgia, reminding me of my own childhood days spent creating such colourful drawings and playing around with my dogs. I also like the font; it fits perfectly with the story theme and illustrations, but I do wish it was a bit larger for easier reading.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because there's nothing not to like about it. The editing is excellent since I couldn't find any errors. I believe the author is someone who can find joy in every little thing in life and must have a vivid imagination and a distinctive sense of creativity to come up with this story.

Finally, I'd like to recommend this book to animal lovers or anyone with a quirky sense of humour and a love for all things silly and gross.
