The Very Hungry Beagles Guide to Poop, written by M. Jackson, Lucky, Mr. Beckham, and Peanut, offers a quirky and playful take on the subject matter. From the viewpoint of voracious beagles, the book explores the different types of faeces they stumble upon during their exploratory "sniffer" outings, documenting their encounters with hedgehog droppings, bunny pellets, swan excrements, and more. With a humorous touch, the canine narrators assess each variety based on characteristics like scent, flavour, consistency, and rarity, assigning a rating of 20 points with a critic's discernment.

The Very Hungry Beagles Guide to Poop by M. Jackson, Lucky, Mr. Beckham, and Peanut is a wonderfully funny book about dogs. The humour of the beagles is unmatched, and my favourite part is their advice on cow poop: "Make sure it's cow poop, not bull poop, unless you like being chased around a field while your butler tells you to run faster" (page 25). The illustrations by Ros Webb are fantastic, with vibrant colours and detailed animals that children can easily recognise and remember.

The humour in this book is what really stands out. The beagles' playful comments and the charming illustrations by Ros Webb keep the tone fun and enjoyable. The colourful watercolour drawings on each page make the beagles' adventures feel real, drawing readers into the story even more.

I appreciate how informative the book is without being overly descriptive, which made it an easy read for me.
The title reflects the book's positive vibe, and I couldn't find any negative aspects to it. The editing is flawless, and overall, I have no complaints about the book. That's why I give The Very Hungry Beagles Guide to Poop by M. Jackson, Lucky, Mr. Beckham, and Peanut a perfect 5 out of 5 stars.

I highly recommend this book to parents searching for cute and simple reads for their young ones. The writing is clear and easy to understand, making it suitable for children to enjoy and learn from.
